Film IS DONE! I don't think I've ever worked this hard on anything in my life and it's such a relief to get it out there. If you like cute toon animal kids dealing with the concept of adulthood this is the film for you!

FILM IS DONE! I grew really attached to my film character throughout these few months.




Anyway, my film "Raincheck" is coming to a Vimeo channel near you sometime late April/early May so stay tuned!

Updating this blog from the grave, I guess. I'm still hard at work on my film! I've got like 10 more scenes to animate so I'm making really good time. I try to warm up before rushing into animating shots every day and I've found that Flash is a really relaxing program to just doodle in.

The procrastination is apparent in these next few.

It's Film Season!! I've just started the production process and finished animating/coloring/compositing my first scene! Here's a sneak peek of one of the frames!

This is probably one of the most ambitious projects I've ever taken and it's sort of feels like I signed my soul away to a cintiq lab, but I am very excited about the end result.

It's been a busy winter break! I've been taking tests and trying to improve my boarding skills. Here's a little peek at some of them!

Boarding is a lot of fun and I can feel myself getting faster and making staging decisions is becoming more intuitive, which allows me more time to do personal work!

It was a really fun and educational experience, though I wish we had dedicated more time to the pre-production stages instead of jumping right into it. However we're both pretty proud of the results and I'm hoping those sleepless nights made me a better animator overall!

Also I've been in a comic-making mood for a while...

Hoping to do something, even small over winter break if I'm not bogged down with film work!
